Michael Martin is a registered representative of Dorsey & Company. Michael’s specialty is implementing conservative investment strategies for his clients. Prior to working in the investment business, he spent 15 years as a partner in a restaurant franchise. Michael has successfully completed SEC/FINRA/NASAA examinations to attain the following registrations:
- Series 6 Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative
- Series 7 Full Registration/General Securities Representative
- Series 66 Uniform Securities Agent and Investment Advisor Law Exam
- Louisiana Life, Health & Accident Insurance & Variable Annuity Examinations
He is a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of the University of Louisiana, Lafayette where he received a BA in Political Science with a minor in Business. After college, Michael did an internship in Washington, D.C. with Senator J. Bennett Johnston. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Nichols State University.
Michael is active in several civic organizations. He is currently a board member of the New Orleans Medical Mission, and chair of the New Orleans Deaf Olympics. He is also a two-time Paul Harris recipient, a member of the board of the Metairie Country Club Rotary, and a former Chairman of the Lafreniere Park Patrons board. Michael is a 30-year resident of the New Orleans area.
